Istanbul - a busy day and lots to learn

It was a very busy day - a boat trip on the Bosphorus - the narrow body of water separating Europe and Asia;

then visits to the Haghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque....



Then Irene and I tried out the Tram system (light rail) and found a wonderful outdoor seafood restaurant along the Golden Horn. We had the specialty - sea bass cooked inside a shell of salt, then cracked open with hammer and chisel...quite a show and delicious.



Lots more to tell, but time for sleep before visiting the Topkapi Museum tomorrow.
