I will break this up into sections: the cruise and the land
excursions.
Leaving Venice on the Costa Magica
Traveling on a cruise ship is like traveling on a full time
mall with dance clubs. We have the food court - your not too fancy restaurants,
and your high end restaurants; of course the high end restaurant is not much
different from the average one, but I guess you get really good service. We are
just happy to be on the average ticket. Oh yes we decided to buy the inclusive
beverage option as we love our cappuccino and
vino and on board these items can be pretty costly.
The spa was the first thing I wanted to teat myself to.
After getting on and off the trains, my nails were looking a bit shabby. So a
nice manicure and fresh nail polish would put me in a better mood. Well at
least it did for a bit, until Steve told me the cost! $120.00!! Well I wasn’t
ready for the sticker shock but Steve says he loved the job they did. So after
a nice vino to ease the sticker shock, I guess it was worth it! I now have
happy hands.
Before dinner we took in the stage show and found it pretty
good - it was a one man show and he did some incredible gymnastics, and between
sets there was a bit of singing. After
the show we both decided to be selective for future nights.
When you are on a ship such as this you are given a seating
table number that you will be at for the rest of your cruise, so we were hoping
to have good table guests. We were not
disappointed and they all seemed to have the same views of the ship as we did
and we all soon were sharing conversation about family and how we arrived on
this particular cruise. They are English and Canadian.
