Day 4 – Athens

Well we are finding our way around the ship much better and we love that we have a room with an outside balcony. We decided this is the only way to go! We have had the cabin door open and fall to sleep listing to the wave’s splash against the ship, and in the morning we are happy to see the beautiful sunrises! I hope to take advantage of the balcony more often we may have breakfast or lunch out there.
Acropolis - the Parthenon

Today we were in the port of Piraeus all day. This gave us time to join with some new friends and hire a taxi to take us to the archeological sites in Athens.
Lunch with our new friends in Pireaus

We visited the Temple of Zeus, the site of the first modern Olympic Games, the Parthenon at the Acropolis, and saw the changing of the guard at the President’s residence. Tonight we steam for Santorini – and the weather report is perfect!
